Fake security cameras (or doll camera , simulation camera , camera feed ) are non-functional monitoring cameras designed to deceive intruders, or anyone who should be watching. The cameras were deliberately placed in the real place, so passersby noticed them and believed the area would be monitored by CCTV.
The cheapest fake security camera can be recognized by not having a real lens ("lens" is just a blurry piece of plastic) Other fake cameras include a damaged original camera, motion sensor disguised as a camera, or an empty camera. They may have flashing lights, or motors to simulate pan-tilt movements.
