Sathi (also known as Saathi , Sathee or Saathee ) (English: Companion ) is a 2002 Bengali Indian film directed by Haranath Chakraborty. The film stars Jeet and Priyanka Trivedi. This film is the debut of Jeet cinema. Is a remake of the Tamil Thulladha Manamum Thullum . The film was released June 14, 2002. The film went on to become one of the best-selling films of 2002 and won many hearts, especially with the songs. Jeet gets great fans for this movie and becomes the highest paid tollywood actor.

Plot

Bijoy (Jeet) is a singer with a lot of talent, who lives in a village in the Burdwan district. She has a caring and loving mother and a helpful brother. He came to Calcutta with the call of a music tycoon, but when he finally arrived at his home, Bijoy was surprised to find his mentor dead. He took refugees with Keshtoda (Ranjit Mallick) alcohol with a golden heart. He is the architect of a group of peers and all of them started working for the insurance company. Meanwhile Bijoy looks at Sonali (Priyanka Trivedi) who lives in the same area as his grandmother. Sonali knows Bijoy in a strange way. He had never seen him, but when Bijoy shouted his numbers he heard that they were very interested and became his passionate admirers. But whenever Bijoy and Sonali physically meet each other something or another accident happens that makes Sonali misunderstand. Thus Sonali has a different picture of Bijoy in his subconscious consciousness. He does not realize that he is an admirer is the same person he hates. The situation stalled, when Bijoy accidentally pushed Sonali off his campus ladder and he became blind. When Bijoy found out about this, he was devastated. Then start a series of sacrifices and love, he helps Sonali and his grandmother by giving them rent. He brings this duo in their turmoil when they are expelled by their landlord and eventually he sells a valuable ring (the gift of Bijoy's mother) to allocate the fees and expenses required for Sonali's eye care. Even when her mother died, she kept it a secret for everyone and took Sonali to the eye surgeon. There he knows that Sonali can regain his sight if he undergoes an acute and complicated surgery. To get INR 50.000 (US $ 750), Bijoy secretly goes to Visakhapatnam with the intention of selling one of his kidneys. Bijoy sacrificed his desire to become a vocalist and secretly support Sonali to fulfill his dream of becoming a singer, while Sonali succeeded in his first assignment at the recording studio, Bijoy was arrested as a terrorist on the Visakhapatnam station platform. Thus with Bijoy's money, Sonali regained sight and became a famous singer while Bijoy was sentenced to a rigorous 5-year prison term. The day that Bijoy returned after completing his sentence turned out to be the same day that Sonali attended his music concert. Bijoy after arriving at Howrah station watched the stack have a huge Sonali slice. He reaches the place but when he tries to contact Sonali and explains to him that he is Bijoy, he is brutally beaten by security. Keshtoda and Bijoy's friends arrive at the intersection. They explain to Sonali the whole truth. Sonali realized that what he had forgotten all along was long-lost love. They were reunited in the midst of the throng.
