William Robert Davis , aka Bill Davis (born May 1949 in Venice, California) is an American illustrator, director of animation and designers, graphic designers and painters. Davis is the founder and creative director of Mother Productions, a graphic design company that makes animations, motion graphics, logos and other graphic designs for online and on-air purposes.

Davis attended the California Art Institute, where he graduated in 1971 with a BFA title and high honors.
Davis is the lead graphic designer for NBC and received an Emmy Award for Position Achievement in Graphic Design and Title Sequence for animated titles and feature films on NBC's The First 50Ã,Ã Years: A Closer Look in 1978. He creating more than 200 "More to Come" on-air slides for The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson , and he designed the logo for The Gong Show .
Later, Davis worked as animation director and designer for Kurtz & amp; Friends, and vice president of development and creative director for computer game companies Sierra On-Line and Rocket Science Games.

Davis lives in California with his wife, Betty Tikker Davis.
