Memphis Championship Wrestling ( MCW ) is a professional wrestling campaign run by Terry Golden, based in Memphis, Tennessee. The first promotional event was on February 20, 2000, and remained active until mid 2001. It was employed as a development area of ââthe World Wrestling Federation (WWF), so the list consisted mainly of wrestlers prepared for prime time or those who had been established there but back from injury.

History
During June 2001, it emerged that the World Wrestling Federation had lowered Memphis Championship Wrestling as their development area. Some wrestlers - American Dragon, Christian York, Joey Abs, Joey Matthews, Rodrageous, Schultz Shooter, and Spanky - have also been dropped from their WWF contract.
With the rest of the development talent of WWF - Steve Bradley, Victoria, Lance Cade, Boyz Island (Ekmo & Kimo), and Haas Brothers (Charlie and Russ) - are now transferred from Memphis to the Heartland Wrestling Association in Cincinnati, Ohio - promotion with little or no wrestling talent left for the business to run.
