Intuit Canada ULC is a developer of financial management solutions and tax preparation for personal finance and small business accounting. Services are delivered on a variety of platforms including application software, software-linked services, software as services, platforms as services and mobile apps. Intuit Canada has employees located across Canada, with offices in Edmonton, Alberta and Mississauga, Ontario, and is an affiliate of Intuit Inc.

Intuit Canada was founded after the acquisition of a Canadian company in 1993 by Intuit. In 1992, Edmonton and Alberta University graduates Bruce Johnson and Chad Frederick have built a tax preparation product called WINTAX - Canada's first personal tax preparation software based in Canada. In 1993, they agreed to be acquired by Chipsoft, the manufacturer of US personal income tax software TurboTax. Shortly after the acquisition of WINTAX, Chipsoft agreed to join Intuit, the developer of Quicken's financial software.
Intuit Canada continues to update and support the WINTAX software, renamed QuickTax in 1995 and later renamed TurboTax in 2010. Intuit Canada is rapidly becoming an international development hub at Intuit, producing local versions of Quicken and QuickBooks for Canada (in Bahasa France and England) and the United Kingdom. The English version of Quicken was discontinued in 2005.

Recent changes
In 2008, Intuit Canada suspended the TaxWiz software and added QuickTax Basic to their list. Changes made by the Canadian Revenue Agency forced Intuit and other tax-maker software companies to limit the number of available returns from their software to 20. This caused Intuit Canada to stop offering QuickTax Pro50 and Pro100 products, and they now offer QuickTax 20 as an alternative.
Intuit Canada has announced that for fiscal year 2010, they will stop using the QuickTax name and replace it with the name TurboTax - thus bringing the product in line with the Intuit tax filing software.
Awards
In October 2008, Intuit Canada was named one of the Top Alberta Companies by Mediacorp Canada Inc., announced by the Calgary Herald and Edmonton Journal.
